Bespoke TV Units
The television tends to be the focal point of any living room, taking over quite an amount of space. Gone are the days of portable screens or bulky devices, now they’re slimline and contemporary with up-to-the-minute features. In fact, they can now double as art installations with screen saver options such as flickering flames or relaxing landscapes.
But not every one of my clients in Oxfordshire wants the TV set to be the first thing they see when walking into their living rooms. They prefer the idea of bespoke TV units, designed by Toffee Hammer Carpentry, which complement the surrounding timbers and hide the screen from view.
Other Oxfordshire clients don’t mind the TV being on display but opt for custom-built shelving to house it, rather than having it positioned on a basic and unsightly stand.

Whether the television is floor-based or fixed to the wall, I can design a framework that is self-supporting or floating.
The freestanding TV units can be constructed to fit directly into a corner, or installed into an existing alcove. For clients with larger rooms, we can work together to design a complete wall unit which houses all electronic devices and so much more.
Other Oxfordshire clients who live in smaller properties can also opt for floor-to-ceiling bespoke shelving with a range of storage solutions designed to neatly house the television unit and its accessories and remove clutter from the living room.
Working closely with my clients, and taking their lifestyle into account, I may suggest solid or glass doors for the TV units to prevent smaller fingers or inquisitive pets from accessing the devices.

As these are tailor-made items, I can ensure the television will be positioned so your viewing experience is as comfortable as possible. Ideally this is directly at eye level, or slightly below it. For families, this will vary but an average measurement will suffice.
